Zeynep Yılmaz Hava graduated with a high honors degree from Boğaziçi University, Department of Translation Studies in 2013. In 2017, she received her master's degree from the cultural studies program in Istanbul Şehir University. In the same year, she began her PhD focusing on migration studies in the sociology department at Istanbul Medeniyet University, as a scholarship student supported by The Council of Higher Education (YÖK 100/2000). In addition, she is entitled a graduate scholarship by The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) since 2019. Yılmaz Hava’s main research interests are sociology of migration, sociology of food, and cultural/linguistic anthropology. She is also engaged in translation/edition.
