Özyeğin University

Zeynep Yılmaz Hava is a postdoctoral researcher at Özyeğin University in the TÜBİTAK-1001 project titled "Food, Homemaking and Social Integration for Syrian Women in Istanbul, Gaziantep and Hatay". She graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Translation Studies in 2013 with a high-honor degree. In 2017, she received her master's diploma from the cultural studies program in Istanbul Şehir University. In 2023, she obtained her PhD from Istanbul Medeniyet University Sociology Department by successfully defending her thesis titled "Constructing Migrant Foodscapes: The Case of Syrian Refugees in Fatih, Istanbul". In addition to research activities, she continues her freelance translation/editing work in the field of social sciences and literature.
