Job Announcement: Arabic Speaking Research Assistant Position, Deadline: August 31, 2023

We are looking for two new team members who are:

• Currently enrolled as Bachelor’s or Master’s student in a Turkish university

• Competent in Arabic (and English)

• Reliable, responsible and organized

• Able to work both independently and as a team member

The successful candidates will:

• Assist with transcription and translation of 30 life history interviews from Arabic to English.

• Assist with completing the ethnographic fieldwork (15 life history interviews in Hatay and 15 mental maps)

• All members of the team are expected to participate in project meetings, training and events as well as dissemination activities, including publications.

A demonstrated interest in migration research in Turkey and experience in qualitative research methodologies is favored but not obliged.
