Zeynep Yılmaz Hava received her bachelor’s degree in Translation Studies from Boğaziçi University in 2013 with a high honours degree. In 2017, she received her master’s degree from the Cultural Studies programme in Istanbul Şehir University with her dissertation on “Rabıta as a technology of the self and a self-care practice in Sufism”. In 2023, she successfully defended her thesis titled “Constructing Migrant Foodscapes: The Case of Syrian Refugees in Fatih, Istanbul”. She is currently working as a postdoctoral researcher at Özyeğin University in the TÜBİTAK-1001 project titled “Food, Homemaking and Social Integration for Syrian Women in Istanbul, Gaziantep and Hatay”. She also continues her translation/editing studies in the fields of social sciences, culture and literature.
