Prof. Mehmet Nuri Gültekin, Gaziantep University

He was born in 1971 in Kilis. He received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees from Ege University. Between 1994 and 2007, he worked as a philosophy teacher in various high schools in Tatvan and Izmir. Since 2007, he has been lecturing in the Department of Sociology at Gaziantep University while trying to read and learn about issues such as sociology of literature, social change, patriarchy and ‘honour’, transformations in the rural structure. He has published a book titled Modernisation, Individual and Everyday Life in Orhan Kemal’s Novels.
